    Presentation Guidelines
    SAP Users Group - Middle East & North Africa (SUG-MENA) 2008 Annual Conference
    Raffles Hotel, Dubai, U.A.E March 4-6, 2008
    Duration

    Presentation duration will be 30 minutes with an additional 15 minutes for questions and answers.

    The presenter should inform the audience that they can either continue their questions and answers outside the hall if he is a presenter (Keynote, Technical or User) or at the booth if he is a User/Sponsor.

    Audience Profile

    Organizations who already implemented SAP, Organizations who are planning to implement SAP, SAP Project Managers, Business Analysts and Developers, IT personnel with technical background, Decision makers for IT departments, Managers and VPs.

    Topics

    The topic must be primarily educational and informative.

    Review

    SUG-MENA will review all the presentations contents upon receiving the presentations.

    It has the rights to send back feedbacks and request changes on slides especially if the slides pertains any commercialism, products or self promotions.

    Keynotes, SAP Technical and Users Presentations Guidelines:
    • The approved abstract must be presented to fit the time allocated which is 30 minutes.
    • The presenter will be stopped if he reaches the 30 minutes prior to ending his presentation and not starting his questions and answers.
    • The power point presentation can hold any background with no specific format restrictions.
    • Avoid very advanced and complex topics
    • If we average a minute per slide, you should not exceed 30 slides
    • Avoid Live Demos
    • Only two presenters to present due to the lack of time i.e. 30 minutes
    • The last slide must hold your e-mail contact as well as the session code for evaluation. The session code will be sent to you at the time the Agenda is finalized.
    Users Jointly with Sponsors Presentations Guidelines:
    • The approved abstract must be presented to fit the time allocated which is the 30 minutes.
    • The presenter will be stopped if he reaches the 30 minutes prior to ending his presentation.
    • The presentation must be started with the USER followed by the SPONSOR.
    • The presentation cannot be sole presented by the USER neither by the SPONSOR. It must be jointly presented.
    • Inform your audience that you can be reached at your booth to carry further questions and answers as well as see further demos.
    • The power point presentation can hold any background with no specific format restrictions
    • Avoid very advanced and complex topics
    • If we average a minute per slide, you should not exceed 30 slides
    • Avoid Live Demos
    • Only two presenters to present due to the lack of time i.e. 30 minutes

    General Guidelines:
    • Keep the presentation as interesting as possible
    • Speaker(s) should not exceed time limit
    • In case of too many interruptions, questions may be deferred to the end
    • Requirement of any additional equipment to be informed in advance
    • Avoid self promotion
    • Any promotional materials, software etc. could be distributed through the booth
    • Presentation should be based on any SAP related projects completed by the Sponsor. One of the customer representatives involved in the project may also speak

    Deadlines:

    All abstracts, biographies and photos must be submitted to the SUG-MENA Secretary by end of business day January 2, 2008.

    All presentations must be submitted to SUG-MENA by no later than January 15, 2008.
