Majed Al-Mutairi - SUG-MENA President

Majed Al-Mutairi spearheaded the establishment of the SAP users group in the region at the time where there were only 6 SAP accounts in the region way back in 1994.

1997 – 2006 played numerous roles at Saudi Aramco Computer Center. Two key roles played included the project management of one of the largest SAP rollouts in Saudi aramco in the company industrial facilities. This included 7000 users and 42 (Gas Plants, Producing Facilities, Refineries, communities.. etc) Departments. The other role is to head the SAP change Management program at the company touching all of the 33000 users of SAP across the company.

Salem Al-Angari - SUG-MENA Vice President and Treasurer

In charge of Business Intelligence Division at Saudi Aramco. Has over 22 years of professional experience in Information Technology; 17 years in the mainframe, client servers systems maintaining operating systems. Worked with SAP for the past 7 years starting in 2001 responsible for the SAP BASIS division for all SAP R3 at Saudi Aramco during the initial SAP Go Live. Since June 2002, have been responsible for the SAP BW implementation for all business areas at Saudi Aramco which is considered among the top 5 installations worldwide.

William Khalil - Director of SAP Liaison, Director of Members (A)

Business Intelligence team leader under the Business Intelligence Division, Corporate Applications Department, Computer Applications at Saudi Aramco. Specialized in the area of SAP Business Warehouse (BW) since 1997. 22 years of experience in Information Technology; 11 years in SAP. SAP experience started in 1997 using the SAP BW, responsible for the integration between SAP BW and other layers (Basis, NetWeaver, Portals, etc.) and third parties, Upgrades, Production Support, Quality Assurance, Problem Solving, Performance and Tuning, Data Analysis and Decision Support Tools. Active member in users group such as America SAP User Group (ASUG).

Saji P.Oommen - Director of Sponsors

Saji Oommen is General Manager (Group Information Technology) at Al Batha Group. He is a Post Graduate Engineer in Computer Science and has around 20 years experience in IT. He is involved with SAP solutions from 1998.

Esam Hadi - Director of Events & Programs

Heading the Business Solutions division at Aluminium Bahrain and leading a team of SAP business analysts for different SAP modules that provides business solutions and user support. Having experience of more than 20 years in the field of Information Technology, actively involved in SAP solutions for the last 11 years. Part of the strategic management team for IT development and implementations. Lead four upgrade projects successfully from SAP R/3 3.0I to SAP ERP 6.0 and many other SAP Projects.

Sami Al-Shammari - Director of Public Relations

Currently Head of IT and Telecoms in OryxGTL. Before that, was member and then the Head of Applications Support Section in the Information Systems Department in RasGas for seven and half years. Beside SAP team, responsible of web team which handles the automation of business processes projects which are web based applications, also networks and server support team which handles the IT infrastructure and the telecommunications team. Have nine years of experience in the Information Technology industry. One and half year handling a financial application in Doha Securities Market. Bachelor of Science in Computer Science in 1997.
